New Gen 3 Pokemon are Coming, Legendary Pokemon Rayquaza Available in Pokemon Go for Limited Time

Trainers, this is just in! Starting from February 9 new Gen 3 Pokemon will be available to battle and catch in Pokemon Go, Legendary Pokemon Rayquaza will start to spawn as a Raid Boss, new Pokemon will appear as Raid Bosses and new special boxes will go live for a limited time.

The long-awaited Legendary Pokemon Rayquaza is finally here alongside new Gen 3 Pokemon available for a limited time. So let’s see what’s new:

• Pokemon originally discovered in the Hoenn region will take over wild encounters until February 13. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to catch powerful Pokémon such as Salamence, Altaria, Metagross, and more! This means that all spawns will be Gen 3 Pokemon.
• Legendary Pokemon Rayquaza will be available starting February 9, until March 16.
• New Raid Bosses.
• New Pokemon from Eggs.
• From February 9 until February 23, new special boxes featuring Raid Passes, Incubators and Star Pieces can be purchased from the store.
• 6h Lure Modules activated until February 23.

• February 9: New wave of Hoenn Pokemon + Rayquaza appears. Hoenn Pokemon will start dominating encounters. New Raid bosses appear. 6-hour lures start. Shop boxes appear.
• February 13: Hoenn Pokemon no longer dominating spawns.
• February 14: Kyogre leaves (presumably 1 PM PST).
• February 23: boxes end. 6 hour lures end.
• February 24: 2 PM est – 5 PM est: 3 hour lures, 3x stardust, dratini dominates spawns.
• March 16: Rayquaza goes away.
• No end date: New Raid Bosses.
