Niantic Apologizes, Pokemon Go Trainers have Extra 72 Hours of x2 Bonuses
Trainers around the world have traveled to be part of the Pokemon Go Fest and to see, battle and catch Legendary Pokemon for the first time since the launch of the game. The GoFest begun, the Legendaries started to pop-up around the world, but something happened. Something that made us disappointed and got us thinking “Hey, this is a multi-billion company, so why they were not prepared for this?”
Everything started at 10:00 PM CDT, when a lot of Trainers came to participate in the Pokemon Go Fest event. Everyone was ready, hyped and couldn’t wait any longer for the event to start. Team Valor, Team Mystic and Team Instinct started to group up, as well as the “solo-players”, and we could’ve seen the joy and happiness in their eyes and how excited everyone was to be a part of this event. But it looked like Niantic wasn’t ready to host an event like this.
After the GoFest mess, Niantic decided to increase the Legendaries (Lugia and Articuno) spawn rate and gave an extra boost to the Trainers. As we all know, the Trainers around the world have received Double Stardust, Double Candy, Double XP, Increased Pokemon encounters, Reduced hatching distance and Reduced buddy distance.
This was planned to end after 48 hours, to be more precise on July 24 at 5:00 PM PDT, but fortunately, Niantic decided to extend the Bonus time until Thursday, July 27 at 5:00 PM PDT.
Trainers, the global rewards unlocked during #PokemonGOFest have been extended 72 hours. They will now end at 5:00 P.M. PDT on July 27.

By extending the Bonus time, we think that Niantic is apologizing to all the Trainers around the world after their “bad” weekend. Will you forgive them?
