NVIDIA’s Titan V is the Most Powerful GPU Ever Made, Revolves Around Al and Scientific Simulation Processing
Nvidia stated that the Titan V is the most powerful PC GPU created. This has happened multiple times in the past, where Nvidia constantly announces the fastest GPU in the history. This new GPU is based on the new Volta architecture from Nvidia.
The Titan V’s price is $2,999. It revolves around Al and scientific simulation processing. It is claimed to be up to 110 teraflops of performance from the 21.1 billion transistors, together with 12GB of HBM2 memory, 5120 CUDA cores, and 640 tensor codes which will supposedly offer up to 9 times the deep-learning performance.
“Our vision for Volta was to push the outer limits of high-performance computing and AI. We broke new ground with its new processor architecture, instructions, numerical formats, memory architecture and processor links. With Titan V, we’re putting Volta into the hands of researchers and scientists all over the world. I can’t wait to see their breakthrough discoveries,” explains Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang.
It comes in gold and black. We do not have any information about when Volta will come to the more attainable gaming-focused GPUs. The current Pascal architecture from Nvidia was introduced a year and a half ago. This introduction came together with the GTX 1080, which is still one of the best gaming GPUs today. The only one that is before the GTX 1080 is the GTX 1080 Ti.
We all know that the Volta GPUs will be more expensive for Nvidia to produce, so they might pursue the Pascal fever as long as they can. The Titan V is available today and limited to two pieces per customer.
