Paladins Reaches 5 Million Players

As they move forward, just after a couple of weeks after hitting the 4 million mark, we have a new announcement by Hi-Rez. Paladins now counts 5 million players! Finally! Hitting the 5 million players mark must be really valuable to Hi-Rez.

Having this number of players is not a joke at all. Hi-Rez is one of the best companies that offer multiplayer competitive games for free and proved that they really do care about their community. They are also doing nice job at building a community in the right way.

The Chief Operating Officer from Hi-Rez Studios, Todd Harris said: “The early success of Paladins is a result of a passionate community that helped us through months of closed Beta testing. It’s great to see such a strong early response and what we have now is only the beginning as the dev team is releasing significant new update every two weeks”.

What comes next is the competitive Paladins scene where 8 teams from around the world will participate the Invitational Tournament at Hi-Rez Expo. The teams are going to compete for a total winning funds of USD 150,000.

The tournaments start at Thursday, January 5 at 12:00 noon EST. The Second day of the tournament is going to be the next day, at the same time.

The best 2 teams from each group, will move forward to the Grand Finals starting at January 7 at 10am EST.

For more information about the tournament and its schedule you can visit esports.paladins.com and you can watch all of the matches online at twitch.tv/paladinsgame and twitch.tv/hireztv.

We feel happy for the success Paladins Game had all this time. We also hope that they will keep the pace and move forward with the same tempo. Congratulations to Hi-Rez studios for making this game come true and prove that the community really matters to them.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
