Paragon Monolith Gets The Biggest Update

Epic Games made the biggest update ever for Paragon, with the new patch Monolith V.35.

This action MOBA game is beeing updated for a completely new gameplay experience. Now, the gameplay is faster and more action oriented. You can find the full patch notes below, but have in mind these notes are long, so if you don’t have time to read them all, I will make a short list of the most import updates.

  • New map is added
  • More than 100 updates to cards
  • Every Hero is with an update
  • There are a lot of changes to armor and damage
  • Faster gameplay

As I mentioned above, these patch notes are long, but if you are a true fan, you might want to know it all.

HEROES

  • All damage now scales with a new card stat, Power.
  • Damage, Armor and Health of all Heroes is adjusted.
  • Mana costs of all abilities is adjusted.
  • Movement speed for all Heroes is increased.
  • Most attack and ability ranges have been reduced in length to account for new speeds.
  • All slows values have been adjusted to account for new speeds.
  • Basic attack range for all range heroes drops from 1500 units to 1300 units.
  • Now has the “Growth” affinity, in addition to “Fury”

General Improvements

  • Legacy Map has been disabled and replaced with Monolith.Hero Kills no longer drop CP on the ground – CP is awarded to kills/assists directly.
  • Hero Kills no longer drop CP on the ground – CP is awarded to kills/assists directly.Buffs are no longer dropped – they now fly towards the last hitter of the buff minion
  • Buffs are no longer dropped – they now fly towards the last hitter of the buff minionMovement penalty added
  • All structures in the game have had their Health, Armor, and Damage rebalanced.
    Minions
  • Tier 1 towers now have bonus armor for the first 7 minutes of the match.
  • Basic Armor is 33% effective against Tower damage.
  • Backdoor Protection
  • New Jungle Buff minion: Provides a shield which explodes when it times out or when it runs out, dealing damage in an AOE. Attacking a Green Buff shielded target reflects a small amount of damage per hit.
  • New Gold Buff minion: Gold Buff provides extra CP for last hits during its duration.
  • Raptors
  • The Prime Helix has been rebalanced.
  • Jump Pads
  • White jungle camps now reinforce instead of increasing level, capped at 5.
  • Spawn platform Health Regeneration rate has been rebalanced.
  • You can find Amber Links in the game.
  • Fog walls that obstruct line of sight, but do not provide invisibility have been added to the Jungle.

This is going to take a while for its players to get used to. Heroes are changed, so you might have to choose another favorite hero. But, this to balance the new map.

Paragon fans are looking forward to seeing the out-of-combat animations. They are saying those animations are giving nice variations in the character and a lot of them are looking silly. Who knows, everything is possible 🙂
