PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is Getting a Mobile Version, Coming first in China
We have heard that Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds will have a mobile version. This was confirmed by Tencent this week.
It is promised that the mobile version will have a similar PUBG experience as it has on PC, but it is still unknown how the company will put the shooter on smaller screens.
It is planned the game to launch firstly in China, but Tencent did not give a release date or even plans for expansion on other markets. It was pointed out in their press release that PUBG sold more than 20 million copies worldwide. So it is kind of expected to have a Western release.
Tencent is one of the biggest publishers in the industry. The company recently got its distribution rights to PUBG in China. But, local players may have to expect an altered version of the game. Stated by Tencent, the PUBG will reflect socialist core values, Chinese traditional culture and the moral rules also.
