Before we go into the patch notes for the second monthly patch, we want firstly to thank everyone for the generosity at the Charity Invitational that happened a few weeks ago.
With the help of the 128 streamers from Europe and North America and the extraordinary twitch community, they raised exactly $223,357.00 for Gamers Outreach. They are sending us their thankfulness for helping the kids.
Next thing is about the server performance. I’ve seen a lot of rumors about the cause of lag that some of you have. There is a theory that we run games on poor quality servers. But this is not true because our servers run on the highest spec machines that AWS offers.
The developers are currently profiling the servers in order to attempt to track down the cause of this lag, but this may take some time, so they ask for patience until they try to fix this problem.
The following monthly update will be more focused on improving the server performance, and they will continue with the improvements of the performances of the servers all the way through Early Access.
Now let’s see what they have changed, fixed and added in the second monthly update.
First on the list is the client performance. The CPU usage and the rendering performance of fences, grass and weapons are improved.
There is a new suppressed sniper rifle added to the game. This new riffle, called VSS is with a permanent 4x scope and chambered for 9mm. You can find it in care packages or as a rare loot spawn. In addition, you can find a new Motorbike as well.
As for the gameplay, some weapons are with reduced damage and some with increased damage. Also, vehicles are improved. You will now find a motorbike plate image, burnt markings when a vehicle is destroyed and punctured wheel effect.
Well, this will make the game more interesting now. The community is happy about the latest changes and they are very excited for the month 2 update.
For last, they will release this patch out to the Test Server tomorrow, which is Wednesday. There is still no ETA for when this will happen, so stay tuned for the information.
This patch will be available to the Stable Servers on Thursday, May 25, 5 PM KST/1AM PDT/8AM UTC and it is expected to take around 1 hour to complete.
