Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds will receive a first-person mode and a FOV slider

Even if Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is already satisfying, the game continues to receive much love from the devs. If not the following update, the one after that should include an FOV slider and a first-person mode. Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds will grow, receiving dedicated servers so players can choose whether they want to play in first-person or 3rd person mode. On the other side, players are just getting confused on how is this new option going to come as an addition to the game.

Well, since the FOV will be customizable, that means you may improve your Field of View (sightings), which is going to give you a much better perspective of the environment. Bluehole Studio has also said that they are going to work on the first-person update, allowing players to experience the game in first-person rather than in 3rd person.

Player’s feelings over this are kinda mixed, knowing that third person is already looking nice and works fine for them. On the other side, Brendan Greene doesn’t feel so sure that the First Person update will come that early, but the FOV should be there with the next update.

This move reminds on ARMA 3, where players can actually choose what kind of servers they want to play on. The same should be happening over here. However, there might also be a mixup of third person + first person servers, where you can toggle in between. Again, same as ARMA. Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds’ fans are so excited because of the changes, mostly because of the FOV slider which is going to allow them to get better and wider view over the field of war.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
