January 2018 marked the beginning of the 3-hour Community Day event in Pokemon Go and until today, 11 events went live, bringing us special Pokemon, new bonuses and extra fun for a limited time. The last CD event goes live today, November 30, and will last throughout the weekend, until December 2, featuring all previous 11 Special Pokemon, new bonuses for a limited time and increased shiny form Pokemon during the weekend.
So far we have seen 11 Community Day events and wow was it a success? Each event was special, and each event brought new shiny forms. Pokemon Go communities around the globe gathered to enjoy these events and have fun for the 3-hour event. We had a chance to catch Pikachu, Dratini family, Bulbasaur family, Mareep family, Charmander family, Larvitar family, Squirtle family, Eevee family, Chikorita family, Beldum family, Cyndaquil family and their shiny forms + exclusive moves.
Now they are back and starting from November 30 until December 2 and players around the globe will have a chance to catch all of the previous Special Pokemon during the weekend.
The event will go live at the following times:
- Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: December 1, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. UTC (GMT +0)
- The Americas and Greenland: December 1, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8)
- Asia-Pacific: December 2, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. JST (GMT +9)
In addition, there will be special bonuses (only for three hours) in each region:
- DBL Catch XP
- DBL Catch Stardust
- DBL Incubator effectiveness
As confirmed by Niantic, the shiny rate for all Community Day event Pokemon will last all weekend. Here is the confirmation:
