Fellow Pokemon GO players, we will be having a new Mythical Pokemon in our hands. Niantic and Pokemon Go have confirmed that they will be adding Victini as a new Mythical Pokemon during the Go Fest 2020 event.
They confirmed that the event will start on July 25th and will be a two-day event, from July 25th to July 26th, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time. Because we are in the middle of a pandemic, they have decided that the event will be fully online. You can purchase a ticket from the in-app store, with a price of $14.99. Since it is an online event, tickets will be unlimited. In the Pokemon GO Fest 2020, players can enjoy Niantic Social, Pokemon Go Fest Virtual Team Lounge, Report Advertisement area, a Print at Home Kit, Global Challenge Area, and rotating habitats.
Niantic has also informed us that a part of the profits from the event will be donated to charity, due to the recent protests against systemic racism and police brutality. Around $5 million of the profits from the Go Fest will be donated to fund projects for black AR creators, while the rest of the profit will be donated to U.S. non-profit organizations that have their main focus on rebuilding local communities.
