Niantic and Pokemon Go are celebrating the love for a friend with a special friendship weekend event that will unlock many friendship-oriented bonuses.
The special friendship weekend event is going live this weekend, from February 21 at 8 AM until February 24 at 10 PM local time. During the weekend players can take advantage of the bonuses, level-up the friendship levels, open more than the usual amount of daily Gifts and more.
Friendship Weekend Bonuses
- Friendship levels will increase faster
- 2x Trade Candy
- 1/2 Trade Stardust cost
- The number of Gifts you can open daily will increase to 40.
- The number of Gifts you can carry in your inventory will increase to 20
It is obvious that we will not get any special spawns or Shiny Pokemon this time, but this event can help you get your missing Pokemon, Legendary Pokemon or Regional Pokemon for less Stardust cost.
Now, our suggestion is to take your best buddy and start trading some Pokemon to get more candies. Please keep in mind that the trading process is non-reversible, which means that once you trade a Pokemon, you can not get the same one back.
