Pokemon Go Friends Limit XP and Low Motivated Gym Defender Notification
Pokemon Go Players are Losing XP due to a "Lock"
Trainers, a lot of players are reporting of not receiving XP when opening gifts from players, no XP for Friendship Level Up as well as notifications to low motivated Gym Defenders or returning Gym Defenders.
A Pokemon Go player named michx85, shared a very interesting analysis on TSR explaining that there is a limit of notifications and when reaching the limit, players will not receive any notifications and without notifications, there will be no XP for Friendship level up as well to low motivated Gym Defenders or returning Gym Defenders.
He found out that there is a limit of 196 notifications and if a player receives more than that in 24h, the player will then not receive any further notifications until they drop below 196. He also added that stacked notifications like ” 5 friends open your gift” count as 5 notifications.
michx85 did the test 3 times and every time the notifications stopped after 196.
It seems like a “lock” on the server side and signing out, reinstalling the game or other will not help you fix it. It seems like you will get the XP with the next interaction on the next day as long as you have less than 196 notifications.
