Since the Go Fest in Chicago and the release of Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Go, the game has been going upwards, making the things more interesting for its players. For the first time since the launch back in 2016, the players have a chance to battle and catch Legendary Pokemon as Lugia, Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos and now Mewtwo, as a unique Pokemon.
Mewtwo was first seen in Yokohama, Japan during the Pikachu Outbreak event, where more than 2 million players with 100% catch rate, were lucky enough to battle and now own one of the rarest Pokemon, Mewtwo. I was expecting to see Mewtwo after 2 or 3 days available worldwide, but nothing happened. So, to cover everything, Niantic decided to extend the time for the Legendary birds.
Niantic has seen that many people had missed out on the 3 Legendary Birds. So, just because they did not want to miss out on them, they extended the event until the end of this month just to give the ones who did not catch the legendary birds a chance.
This indicates that Niantic is not a bad company and just wants its fan base to enjoy the game while making extra money the birds will bring in. Another thing I have noticed is that Niantic rarely lets exclusivity stay long.
The raids have been released worldwide and the levels have been lowered as soon as they were sure they could handle their loads. They have released Lugia and Articuno to the world as soon as Go Fest ended. The only one they have gone away from their path is with Mewtwo’s release.
The only ones who have seen it are the ones who attended the event in Japan, and it has been over 3 days. My guess is that they wanted to release it the same day, but held off after seeing the reactions against the exclusive raid feature.
