Pokemon Go Introduces the First Regional Exclusive non-Legendary Raids
The last wave of Raid Bosses went live on April 2, when the Legendary Pokemon Latias and Latios first appeared around the world, and players from different regions have different Raid Bosses. Well, blame it on Latias and Latios.
With the release of the Eon Duo in Pokemon Go, players also got new Tier 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 Raid Bosses, but not all of them are available for everyone.
So, if you’re wondering why you’re not seeing Walrein, Pinsir or Duskull, and you’ve already checked the new/updated list of Raid Bosses, that’s because these Pokemon are available only in the regions where Latios is available – North America, South America and Africa.
Therefore, Houndoom, Granbull and Shuppet raids are only available where Latias is spawning – Europe and Asia. In addition, these Raid Bosses will also switch when Latios and Latias change region on May 8.
With all that being said, this is the first time we have regionally exclusive non-Legendary Raids.
