Pokemon Go Limited Time Research Clamperl Will Not be Exclusive to Research Day

Trainers, the Special Limited Time Research event featuring Clamperl is going live on February 23/24, and as now confirmed by the Pokemon Go Community Manager Liz George, Clamperl is not exclusive to Research Day and will be available in the wild afterward.

The 3-hour Special Limited Research is going live at the end of this month featuring Clamperl, 2x Catch Stardust for Water-Type Pokemon, increased spawn rate of Water-Type Pokemon, including Krabby and Wailmer and their shiny form.

The event is going live at the following time:

  • Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: Feb. 23, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. UTC (GMT +0)
  • The Americas and Greenland: Feb. 23, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8)
  • Asia-Pacific: Feb. 24, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. JST (GMT +9)

Now, as confirmed by the Pokemon Go Community Manager Liz, Clamperl isn’t going away after the event and players will have a chance to encounter it in the wild after the event. So those who are at work or have other plans during this event and are not able to ‘participate’, don’t worry, you will have a chance to catch it afterward.

Big thanks to Liz for the update and making this clear for everyone!
