UPDATE Pokemon Go New Big Update to Add Stat Boosts, List of Pokemon Added
Trainers, this is just in!
Starting this weekend, to be more precise on Saturday during the Swinub Community Day event, some Charge Attacks will trigger stat boosts, but only in Trainer Battles.
Niantic is planning to add the new stat boost feature this Saturday, February 16, but only on the following three Charge Moves:
- Ancient Power
- Ominous Wind
- Silver Wind
and here is a list of Pokemon that can learn these moves:
Ancient Power
- Aerodactyl
- Anorith
- Bayleef
- Cranidos
- Exeggcute
- Giratina
- Kabuto
- Kabutops
- Larvitar
- Lileep
- Mamoswine
- Mew
- Omanyte
- Omastar
- Rayquaza
- Relicanth
- Shieldon
- Tangrowth
- Togepi
- Togetic

So what will happen? When in PvP mode, Pokemon that have the above mentioned Charge Moves will increase Pokemon’s Attack and Defense stats and the same will stay increased until the Pokemon faints or leaves the battle.
This feature will only affect PvP Trainer Battles for now, and let’s hope that Niantic will implement it in Gym and Raid Battles.
