Pokemon Go 811 Days and $2 Billion in Revenue

One of the most popular free to play mobile games Pokemon Go just set a new record – a whopping $2 BILLION in revenue since launch back in July 2016.

According to the mobile data company Apptopia, it took 302 days for Pokemon Go to hit the $1 billion mark and 811 days for the $2 billion mark. Japanese players are the ones who spent the most, followed by US players on second place, Germany and the UK on the third and Australia on fourth.

When it comes down to what country downloaded Pokemon Go the most, US comes in as the country with the most downloads, followed by Brazil on second place, India on third, Mexico fourth and Indonesia on fifth place. The other countries have downloaded the game a total of 50.6%.

There is still more to come in 2018. Pokemon Go players are looking forward to three more Community Day events (October, November and December), the new Pokemon Meltan, Gen 4 and the new PvP mode coming later this year. The PvP could totally freshen up the fanbase and make the players quite happy.

Pokemon Go is still one of the most popular apps among mobile players and we are all looking forward to seeing how everything will affect the game because during the summer months the numbers peaked as more and more players went outside to play the game. Cold months are ahead of us, but this shouldn’t stop the players from getting outside and playing the game.
