Update: The Sinnoh Celebration event will begin on February 7-February 10, featuring:
- Sinnoh Pokemon with increased spawn rate
- Budew, Combee, Bronzor, Gible, Riolu, Hippopotas, and Mantyke from 7KM Eggs
- Event-specific Field Research tasks
- Shiny Riolu
- Shiny Hippopotas
- Glacial, Magnetic, and Mossy Lure Modules activated during the Sinnoh event will last one hour
Previous Story: Trainers, we have discovered a new Sinnoh Celebration 2020 text in the GM file, meaning a new Sinnoh event is on the way.
While digging into Pokemon Go’s GM file, we’ve discovered a ‘Sinnoh Celebration’ text and new cool quests. This means that Niantic and Pokemon Go are working on a new Sinnoh event which will most probably go live sometime in February.
At the moment of ‘digging,’ we’ve discovered a list of ‘Sinnoh Celebration 2020’ quests which can be seen below.
Sinnoh Celebration 2020 Tasks and Rewards
- Catch 5 Turtwig, Chimchar or Piplup – 1000 Stardust
- Catch 5 Kricketot – Combee
- Use a Sinnoh Stone to evolve a Pokemon – Cranidos
- Hatch 5 Eggs – Sinnoh Stone
- Win a Raid – Hippopotas
