Pokemon Go Sinnoh Celebration Shiny Riolu Will not be Available in the Wild
Shiny Riolu to be Available only from Eggs
Trainers, the Sinnoh Celebration event is right around the corner and many players are wondering if Shiny Riolu will be available in the wild.
Niantic and Pokemon Go announced and confirmed all features about the upcoming Sinnoh Celebration event, but they didn’t make it clear where one can find a shiny Riolu.
They confirmed that all 7KM Eggs will hatch specific Pokemon during the event such as:
- Budew
- Combee
- Bronzor
- Gible
- Riolu
- Hippopotas
- Mantyke
and they did confirm that we might encounter a Shiny Riolu, but they didn’t mention if this Pokemon and its shiny forms will be available from Eggs or in the wild.
Now, Niantic Support confirmed on their official Twitter account that Riolu can be hatched from Eggs, but we can’t encounter this Pokemon in the wild. This means that Riolu and its shiny forms will be available only from 7KM Eggs and 10KM Adventure Sync Eggs.

The Sinnoh Celebration 2020 event will begin on February 7 and will end on February 10.
