Pokemon Go Storage Increased to 3,000, Item Capacity Increased to 2,500
Update November 22, 2019: Trainers, the maximum Pokemon storage has been increased to 3,000 and item capacity to 2,500. This could mean that new Gen 5 Pokemon might be coming to Pokemon Go very soon, but nothing is officially confirmed at this moment.

Previous Story July 30, 2019: Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go listened to our ‘prayers’ and they’ve now increased the Pokemon storage.
Pokemon Go shared very exciting news on their official Twitter account which will put a smile on our faces. They confirmed that the limit on Pokemon storage has increased and it’s now 2,500.

They should have done this a few months ago, or before they released Team Go Rocket, but better later than never, right?
