Pokemon Go Team Rocket’s Boss Giovanni Spotted

Giovanni is now Appearing as a Photobomb

Trainers, the self-proclaimed strongest Trainer Giovanni has been spotted photobombing attendees at Yokohama Go Fest event and reports are coming in that he is cooking a plan to take over Gyms very soon.

Pokemon Go’s Twitter account teased Giovanni not long ago and it looks like he has arrived in Japan for the third Go Fest event in Yokohama.

Giovanni has been spotted wearing his suit, PokeBall cufflinks, with slicked-back hairstyle and his look saying “I’m ready to take over Gyms and there’s nothing you can do about it!”

Giovanni is photobombing Yokohama Go Fest attendees at the moment, but we’re sure that he has something else on his mind.

Here is what we know about Giovanni, thanks to Bulbapedia:

Giovanni (Japanese: サカキ Sakaki) was the head of Team Rocket, and served as the secretive Gym Leader of Viridian City’s Gym, known officially as the Viridian Gym. He handed out the Earth Badge to Trainers who defeated him. As a Gym Leader, he specialized in Ground-type Pokémon, but his master plan includes collecting rare Pokémon of all types. In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, he makes a return appearance as the leader of Team Rainbow Rocket. He is the only character in the games to have the Trainer classes BossFRLG/Rocket BossHGSS/Team Rocket BossPE (Japanese: ロケットだんボス Team Rocket Boss) and Team Rainbow Rocket (Japanese: Rロケットだん Team R Rocket).

We wouldn’t be surprised to see Giovanni taking over Gyms and Shadow Legendary Pokemon as Raid Bosses. That would actually be pretty cool! However this is not confirmed yet, so get aboard the Hype Train!
