The company has expressed its gratitude to the community that has continued to grow these past 2 years. In January of this year, they shared that 10 million people have played this game. That’s 5 million players in 6 months quite an accomplishment. The company is also very humbled because more people have played Sea of Thieves in the first 6 months of 2020 than those who played in the whole of 2019, which was more than 2018.
June of 2020 was the biggest month so far for Sea of Thieves in terms of active players. The number was an impressive 3.3 million players.
The company stated they had been blown away by the support from releasing the game on Steam with having about 1 million copies sold so far and being in the most played games charts and the game regularly appearing the top-selling.
