Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment Release Date And Body Swap Mode

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove and Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment are coming in April for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita. Also, a new mode, Body Swap will come together with the launch of Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment.

You may be wondering what Treasure Trove is…First, let me explain you about Specter of Torment and Body Swap Mode.

Body Swap Mode will come simultaneously with Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment. Now, for the first time, you can switch body types. You can choose between Shovel Knight, Shield Knight, Quarter Night, Black Knight and Enchantress. This is the first new option. The second option comes as a free update. This allows 2 players to co-op in campaign mode on PS3 and PS4. Also, the new update brings a sound test mode. Now you will be able to listen to all tracks from each campaign. Make sure to join Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment at PAX South for the first time.

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is the new name of the old game. When this change comes, there will be options to buy each campaign as separate on PS4. Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope is also an option for a new title name.

In addition, if you already have Shovel Knight, doesn’t matter on what platform, you will automatically own Treasure Trove as well. Each campaign and features will come to the game via an update. Basically, it works the same as the original Shovel Knight. There is always a but…Shovel Knight price will increase starting in Spring. If you are thinking about buying the game, do it now, before the price goes higher. I don’t have any info about the new price.

So the game gets split up. With this information, Shovel Knight is now with multiple individual editions. This makes it more confusing if you want to buy the game. Should I buy Shovel Knight or Shovel of Hope? What is the original?
