Star Wars: Battlefront 2 to get a revamped progression system and a new game mode

After various changes to Star Wars: Battlefront 2, it appears that DICE will perform further changes to their franchise. As the press release says, a new progression system is on before a release, including a new game mode called Jetpack Cargo.

Star Wars Battlefront 2

These features will come in February announcing the New Season to come. It feels like Star Wars: Battlefront 2 has been on a bumpy road since its release, and is slowly and surely coming back on track. The first season has been full of surprises, including the fantastic number of over 10000 completed quests for both sides of the First Order and the Resistance together.

Thanks to the feedback received, DICE claims the knowledge on their path, and towards where their plans are heading. To sneak a peek further, below you can find the full info on the upcoming content:

  • A revamped progression system – Player feedback has been essential here, and we are preparing significant changes to progression that will address many of the things we’ve seen players asking for. While we can’t go into too much detail right now, we’ll be sharing more details in March.
  • A game mode called Jetpack Cargo coming in February – Two teams of eight players equipped with jet packs compete in Jetpack Cargo, a frantic, fast-paced way to play. This mode will only be available for a limited time, so don’t miss it.
  • A new Season coming soon – We’ve learned a lot from the first season of content for Star Wars Battlefront II, and we’re integrating that learning into our plans moving forward. We know players are waiting for details on what’s coming in the next season, and we’ll have more to tell soon.

After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
