The Last Of Us Part 2 Snatches the Top Spot On the UK Charts

Obscuring the top place on the UK Charts shortly after release is what an actual flagship game is capable of doing. The Last of Us Part 2 has done that in a very fashionable way with a record-breaking debut, reaching the number one spot on the UK Sales Charts for entertainment software. As many predicted, the most anticipated video game for the year so far truly belongs to The Last Of Us Part 2.

This was reported (via GamesIndustry), claiming the current position of The Last Of Us Part 2 on the UK charts. The game has turned out to be the most popular in its generation, overcoming the previous success set by Uncharted 4 back in 2016.

The Last of Us Part 2 has managed to succeed whatever has had accomplished with its predecessor on the PS3. Talking about a development cycle, it’s somewhat remarkable to see Naughty Dog developing a game throughout a whole period, dedicated to a console that’s been out for seven years now.

It somehow makes us feel that a sequel is inevitable on the PlayStation 5. But when exactly? Will it be aligned with the PlayStation 6 announcement? Well, knowing the current success, a phenomenon such as this one wouldn’t be strange at all.

Concluded with June 20, the UK Top 10 entertainment software is as follows:

  1. The Last Of Us Part 2
  2. Ring Fit Adventure
  3. Fifa 20
  4. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
  5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
  6. Grand Theft Auto 5
  7. Minecraft (Switch)
  8. 51 Worldwide Games
  9. Pokemon Shield
  10. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
