Valorant EU Servers Down Due to Emergency Maintenance

It seems that shortly after the launch of Valorant, Riot Games has been hit by an immense wave of players that have seemingly overloaded the servers. The Server outage is caused due to emergency maintenance in the EU region, a reason why the login servers are facing a chokepoint. Login queues are formed without any reason.

Riot Games have announced the emergency maintenance on their official Twitter profile, which is inspired by the instability noticed earlier today.

The login queues are getting longer by the time the countdown hits zero. The queues are seemingly there to circumvent the blockage and allow players to login in a slow fashion, without causing any further problems or server overload. However, noticing the reset of the countdown, the queues do not make any sense nor represent a sustainable role throughout this time.

The queues in Valorant are most likely a facade, serving to minimize any additional player frustration. The servers are down, and even those who were in-game and are citizens of the EU region are no longer in the game.
