World of Warcraft: Virtual Pet Will Help Victims of Natural Disasters

Since 2009, Blizzard has offered virtual mascots and mounts in World of Warcraft whose profits are directed to people in need. More than $1 million has been raised since then.

Because of the recent natural disasters caused by Hurricane Irma and the urgency to assist those who were directly affected, Blizzard decided not to wait for BlizzCon 2017 to launch the campaign to adopt the new mascot, a fox named Shadow. In this way, the heroes of Azeroth can also become heroes in real life!

Starting today, until December 31, 2017, for each Shadow adopted, 100% of the amount collected will be donated to the American Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IRFC) to assist them in their disaster relief efforts.

The small Shadow can be purchased for $10 by clicking here. So, will you adopt it?
