Xiaomi to Introduce the First Gaming Monitor

Xiaomi, the company best known for their smartphones, is stepping up its game and now they will be launching a new Xiaomi Gaming monitor.

You may be familiar with Razer Raptor 27, which is already available after launch at CES at the beginning of the year, but it looks like Xiaomi will also be expanding the products in its catalog.

Xiaomi is best known for its smartphones, but it also occasionally switches to other categories such as Smart TV, batteries, fitness belts and even electric motors. However, Mi Surface 34 is the company’s first monitor.

It will have a 34-inch display and support a curved panel (1500R) with 3440 × 1440 resolution at a 21:9 aspect ratio. Built for gaming, it has a 144Hz refresh rate and supports AMD FreeSync.

Other details such as brightness levels, contrast, and connection options have not yet been released. It’s also still unclear what the company is selecting the VA panel, but the suggestions are toward Samsung.

The design does not look bad. From the renderings we have seen, there are thin frames on the sides and not anything too exaggerated at the base. Pre-order pricing currently stands at around 1,999 Yuan, which approximates to $280. In this case, the additional export price to other countries and markets should also be calculated.
