Pokemon Go Lunala and Necrozma Dawn Wings Moongeist Beam Attack Visual Effect Datamine, Fusing as a Possible New Feature
Trainers, it looks like Niantic and Pokemon Go are preparing for a new surprise. According to the latest reports, it is about the Moongeist Beam attack, and Lunala and Necrozma Dawn Wings as new releases, thanks to The Pokemod Group.
The well-known data mining group The Pokemod Group dug into the Pokemon Go files and discovered something very interesting. They discovered it and were kind enough to share it with the Pokemon Go community on X.
It’s the visual effect of the Moongeist Beam Attack. You may ask what is so important about this. Well, this attack is the signature move of Lunala and Necrozma Dawn Wings.

Lunala and Necrozma Dawn Wings are two Gen 7 Legendary Pokemon, both Psychic/Ghost types, that we hope to see in the game soon. When? Well, we think Go Fest 2024 is the perfect event for these two Pokemon. But still, keep in mind that nothing is officially confirmed, and we might get them next year.
Lunala is the last form of Cosmog, well, one of the last, because the other is Solgaleo. As we already mentioned, this Pokemon is a dual-type Psychic/Ghost Legendary Pokemon introduced in Generation VII and is a trademark Pokemon of Pokemon Moon.
The other Pokemon that knows Moongeist Beam attack is Dawn Wings Necrozma. This Pokemon is one of the three forms of Necrozma, the trademark Pokemon of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
These two Pokemon, Lunala and Dawn Wings Necrozma are the only Pokemon that know the Moongeist Beam move. Also, only these two Pokemon can use the Z-Move Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom.
Now we go to the next question. Would this mean that we will also get new feature fusing? As you know Necrozma can fuse with Lunala to become Dawn Wings Necrozma, and we would like to know what Niantic and Pokemon Go are up to.
One thing is for sure – a big surprise for Go Fest 2024.
