Trainers, Niantic revealed more info regarding the upcoming GOFest event in Chicago this Thursday, and they confirmed that participants can make only 5 Special Trades per day and only on the day they are registered for.
Niantic also revealed there will be 16-player tournaments through the day and the winners will get exclusive Pokemon Go Fest prizes.
Here is everything you should know:
CHECKING IN
Pokemon GO Fest is open from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM for General Admission ticket holders, and from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM for Early Access ticket holders. No wristbands or physical tickets will be distributed for this event, and you’ll be checked in automatically at the time and date your ticket is valid for. You’ll just need to head over to your assigned entry point at Grant Park (NORTH or SOUTH) and your Pokemon GO Fest experience will begin! This is a sold-out event. No tickets will be for sale on-site. The event will take place rain or shine.
TEAM LOUNGES
Take a break and cool off in any of the six-team lounges in Butler Field and Hutchin-son Field. Relax and recharge while meeting other Trainers from around the world. Participate in fun contests to win exclusive Pokemon GO Fest prizes!
POKEMON HABITATS
Explore five unique Pokemon habitats throughout Grant Park-Sandy Desert, Fairy Garden, Buckingham Fountain, Winter Forest, and Spooky Woods! There are over 70 species of Pokemon to encounter at Pokemon GO Fest. Will you be able to find them all?
BATTLE ARENA
Test your mettle against other Trainers from around the world at the Battle Arena, located in Butler Field! Enter 16-player tournaments throughout the day and win exclusive Pokemon GO Fest prizes at various rounds. Participation tickets will be handed out at team lounges starting at 9:00 AM for Early Access ticket holders. and 11:00 AM for General Admission ticket holders. Tickets will specify a 30-minute window to enter at the Battle Arena, so don’t be late! All rounds will be played with the Great League ruleset. and Best of 1 format.
TRADING OUTPOST
Take the opportunity to trade Pokemon with the thousands of Trainers from around the world at Pokemon GO Fest. Ticket holders will even be able to conduct up to five Special Trades on their event day! This Special Trade limit increase will work throughout Grant Park, but the Trading Outpost in Hutchinson Field is a great location to find other Trainers looking to trade.
HELP DESKS AND INFORMATION BOOTHS
Help Desks will be available for in-app troubleshooting at the North and South ends of the park (Butler Field and Hutchinson Field). For general Pokemon GO Fest event questions. two Information Booths will be available at the North and South entrances.
