Pokémon GO how to reach your walking goals without stepping outside

Trainers, leveling up in Pokémon GO often requires you to literally go the extra mile. But what if you could hatch Eggs and earn Candy with your Buddy without stepping foot outside? We’ve got some game-changing tricks that not only make these tasks easier but can also help you complete specific in-game quests requiring distance. Let’s get into it.
Before you try any of these tricks, you’ll want to enable “Adventure Sync” in the game settings. This feature keeps track of the distance you’ve moved, even when Pokémon GO is closed. It’s crucial for the tricks we’re about to reveal.
Sock Trick
This one’s a classic. With Adventure Sync on, tuck your phone into a sock and shake it. It fools both your phone and the game into thinking you’re walking. Couple this with a 1/2 Hatch Distance bonus (when available), and you’re in for a Pokémon-hatching spree.
Arm Swinging
This method is as simple as it sounds. With Adventure Sync activated, close the game and swing your arm while holding your phone, as though you’re walking. If you get it right, the phone’s accelerometer will record it as movement, adding distance to your in-game score.
Amazon Auto Walker
For those willing to invest in an auto-walker, this trick’s for you. Activate Adventure Sync, then force-stop Pokémon GO so it’s not running in the background. Place your phone on the device’s cradle, set it swinging, and wait until you reach your target distance. Stop the device, reopen the game, and wait 10-20 seconds for the distance to update in-game.
And there you have it. A few easy tricks to fast-track your Pokémon GO progress while staying put. But remember, always play responsibly and in accordance with the game’s terms of service.
So, what’s your take? Have you tried any of these tricks, or do you have some of your own? Let us know in the comments below.
Or just be honest and walk around your house or apt.
Some people literally can’t walk
There are always exceptions, but probably more cheaters than physically restricted folks.
Marching or dancing to music in place gets you both Pokémon distance AND actual exercise. I’ve found that 1 km distance (10 min at a moderate walk) is approximately 1200 stationary steps, which also takes about 10 min to do. Grab the phone and just move around doing whatever!
My friend rely on our awful internet providers for this. The internet cause frequent GPS drifts. It doesn’t go far, only around the neighborhood. But it marks the distance just right. So he would just leave his GO on while he does other things. When he checks an hour later, eggs have hatched and he has gotten buddy candies. Lol.
I am physically handicapped – require a crutch to walk due to spinal injury and permanent nerve damage to my left leg that affects from my knee down… walking is a challenge for me especially long distance… but I push through and do what I can when I can… I refuse to cheat to play a game
