Pokémon GO Oddish Research Day field research tasks revealed, snapshot task for wild grass Pokémon is broken

Trainers, the much-anticipated Oddish Research Day is live, offering you fifteen unique Field Research tasks, all geared toward rewarding you with Oddish encounters.

This time-limited event kicks off at 2 p.m. and wraps up at 5 p.m. local time on the same day. On the agenda are Oddish, its shiny form, event-exclusive bonuses, and various Pokémon, including their shiny variants, appearing in the wild. You’ll also find Oddish taking center stage in PokéStop Showcases.

You can snag Field Research tasks by spinning Photo Discs at PokéStops. Complete these tasks, and you’ll come face to face with Oddish. If the stars align, you might even find yourself with a Shiny Oddish.

Before you get too excited, there’s a small hiccup with one of the tasks: “Take a snapshot of a wild grass-type Pokémon.” Contrary to what the task name implies, you don’t need to take a snapshot of a wild grass-type Pokémon. Instead, you’ll need to take a snapshot of a grass-type Pokémon from your storage.

Oddish Research Day Tasks

  • Catch a Poison-type Pokémon
  • Catch 3 Grass-type Pokémon
  • Use 3 Pinap Berries while catching Pokémon
  • Use 3 Berries to help catch Pokémon
  • Make 3 Nice Throws in a row

So there you have it, Trainers, a comprehensive list of Field Research tasks for Oddish Research Day. Keep an eye out for any announcements regarding this snapshot issue; it could get a fix before the event concludes. But, for now, happy hunting, and may your encounters be shiny and your Research fruitful. Let us know how it’s going for you out there.
