Pokémon GO FleeceKing is Now Officially Guinness World Record Holder and Gaming Legend

Pokémon GO, some achievements stand out more than others, and Daniel Amos, better known as FleeceKing, has just set a benchmark that will be hard to surpass. Recently recognized by the Guinness World Records, FleeceKing’s journey to becoming the world’s first player to reach level 50 in Pokémon GO is a tale of dedication, skill, and a bit of perseverance against in-game bugs.

Back on January 25, 2021, the Pokémon GO community witnessed a remarkable event, two players reached the level 50 cap, and FleeceKing was the first, achieving this only 16 minutes before the second player.

FleeceKing’s road to level 50 wasn’t without its challenges. He encountered a game bug that prevented him from completing the necessary tasks to level up from 49 to 50. Undeterred, he reported this issue to Niantic, who quickly fixed it, allowing him to continue on his historic path.

His other impressive achievements include catching 4,000 Pokémon in a single day, making over 5,000 throws at Pokémon, hitting the daily catch limit of 4,800, and catching 10 shinies, and 8 hundos in one day.

Beyond his gaming prowess, FleeceKing is a generous figure in the Pokémon GO community. Celebrating his milestone of 100k followers, he gave away three Pokémon GO Fest 2023 Global tickets. His influence extends beyond personal achievements, his brother, inspired by him, reached level 50 recently, three years later.
