Pokémon GO to End Shared AR Buddy Experience Support

Niantic has decided to end support for the Shared AR Buddy Experience in the upcoming Pokémon GO update (version 293.0). It looks like this feature, which hasn’t exactly been a hit with the community, is going to be retired.

To be honest, it seems like the Shared AR Buddy Experience didn’t quite catch on with most trainers. While the idea of sharing augmented reality experiences with your Pokémon buddies sounded cool, it didn’t seem to resonate much with the player base. Maybe it was a bit ahead of its time, or perhaps it just wasn’t what most trainers were looking for.

This move to phase out the feature could mean Niantic is clearing the deck for something new. Game development is all about trial and error, and not every feature is going to be a home run. It’s all part of the process of making the game more enjoyable for everyone.

So, what’s next for Pokémon GO? We’ll have to wait and see. Niantic is known for bringing fresh and exciting updates to the table. Maybe they’ve got something even better in store for us, Level 60?
