Shuntaro Furukawa confirmed to X that Nintendo plans to announce a new console that will follow or replace the Nintendo Switch within the current fiscal year. It’s been nine years since they announced the Nintendo Switch, and it looks like it’s time for a change.
The president of Nintendo also confirmed the next Nintendo Direct. This event will take place in June, and they will announce the Switch software lineup for the second half of 2024.
They confirmed that they will not reveal any details regarding the new Nintendo model during the Nintendo Direct in June.
