Pokémon GO Fighting-type Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee join Spotlight Hours on May 7, 2024

This the time to see who is the best in battles, and it is just the right timing for the Rivals Week event.

The whole spirit this week in Pokémon GO is fighting, and battles. Everybody is trying to show their abilities, and Niantic did the right thing to put not one, but two Fighting-type Pokémon for this Spotlight Hour event in May 2024.

On May 7, 2024, which is today, Trainers will meet eye to eye with Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee on their maps, and the bonus that will be active is 2x Transfer Candy. Both of the featured Pokémon can appear as Shiny, so keep an eye out for those dancing stars on your screen.

As you know, Spotlight Hours are the best events in Pokémon GO. You can tell me whatever you want, but I would choose Spotlight Hours over any other event. Each Tuesday in the month, there is a one-hour event called Spotlight Hour, where the featured Pokémon, chosen by Niantic, spawns on a Trainer’s map numerous times. By numerous times, I mean a whole lot of the chosen Pokémon.

The great thing here is that besides the chosen Pokémon, Trainers can enjoy a bonus, which lasts as long as the Spotlight Hour event, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. Keep in mind, Spotlight Hours only happen on Tuesdays, except if there is another interference in Niantic’s social calendar.

I am all up for the battles coming our way, and I hope that you will get Shiny Hitmonchan or Shiny Hitmonlee and show them off to the world.
