League Of Legends Rise of Elementals, Elemental Rift System and More
If you’ve followed the latest news, you probably know that Riot Games was planning to bring major changes to League of Legends before Season 10 of the game.
One of the biggest changes is that the upcoming pre-season will be called Rise of the Elementals and bring many changes to Summoner’s Rift.
The new Elemental Rift system will change the way players move around the map as teams take on different dragons in the game. When a team kills a dragon, its element begins to change the map permanently.

Each Elemental Rift will impact team fights, rotations, vision, health and more. For example, Infernal Dragon destroys some walls in the game and burns some bushes.
Mountain Dragon will create new terrain on the map, while Ocean Dragon will make the bushes larger and add more honey fruit plants to the game. Cloud Dragon will change some routes and turn them into wind tunnels, which will allow players to move faster on the map.
Meanwhile, Elder Dragon makes the team that kills him very powerful in the late game. For example, the dragon now gives an execute to the team that kills it, killing opponents immediately below a certain level of life.
Minor changes to the map are some minor additions to the top and bottom, as well as some new shrubs near the entrance to the blue buff. More information will be revealed in a later post by Riot, which will detail any changes for 2020.
