Pokémon GO Players are not pleased with the new Avatar Update

Whomp, whomp, whomp. The Pokémon GO community is let down again. Big time.

Teasers were flying around, and many pre-announcements and hints were dropped by Niantic that made us think the Avatar update was going to be the next best thing. We were all excited, and we couldn’t wait for the day to come to see all the awesomeness that was prepared for us. Little did we know what was actually going to happen.

As part of the Rediscover GO changes, the Avatar Update was the first one to roll out. In it, Trainers got a lot of customization options (or did they?) and the ability to change the whole appearance of the Avatar. You know, Avatars in Pokémon GO are a big thing, so we all need to look good and presentable in front of others.

Usually, when these changes in a game happen, they are great, they are marvelous. This is not the case with Pokémon GO though.

Many Trainers are not pleased with the changes, especially the problems that the update caused. They say that they are fine with updates and all, but not when that update changes the faces of the Avatars and makes them seem, how should I say this…deformed and cartoonish.

Some even joke around that if you want to hide the hideous changes Niantic and Pokémon GO have done, all you have to do is put a mask on your Avatar.

What I am trying to understand is why this update didn’t leave the existing states of the Avatars and instead changed them as they saw fit. Nobody is a fan of the new changes, and we all want them reverted.

Please Niantic, listen to us and bring everything back to normal.
