When something is being promoted as new, but isn’t new, it makes us feel like fools, right?
Well, that is exactly what Niantic and Pokémon GO did. They promoted a “new” Avatar feature, where you can change the colors of the eyes of your Avatar. From what I understand, they claim that this feature became available to Trainers after the chaotic update. But that isn’t new, it is something that Trainers can do since the creation of the game.
It is safe to say that they were hit with community notes, just so that Niantic knows that the PoGO community is not to be messed with. The community note on their promotion says that Trainers were always able to change the eye colors of their Avatar, not like it is claimed on the post.

Niantic, this is a red alert for you. Don’t promote something as new, when it isn’t new at all.
