Native Refresh Rate in Pokémon GO not working properly after recent updates
If it isn’t a problem after a “fresh” update. It wouldn’t be the Pokémon GO we all know and love.
As you know, Pokémon GO is getting a revamp, as I would like to call it, and so far, we have been through two updates out of four, the Avatar update and the Biome update. One is unsuccessful in terms of what was brought into the game, while the other is yet to be determined. But I think the latter one is better. Hope that the next two will be useful though.
Well, it is custom with the game that after an update, a serious problem arises. This time, the problem revolves around the Native Refresh Rate, and it seems that it is mostly affecting Android users. The overall performance of Pokémon GO dropped too, and Trainers have been experiencing a lot of lags.
The Native Refresh Rate is not working properly, where Trainers have to constantly turn the option off and on, due to sudden drops of fps, if Pokémon GO is set at 120hz screen, and the screen is idle for a few seconds. This is a very strange problem though, and Trainers over at Reddit are frustrated that this is happening to a game of this level.
It seems that this problem only occurs with a 120hz screen, while the 90hz and 60hz are running without any problem.
Just as I thought that there would not be any post-update problems, here we are, yet again.
