Pokémon GO Rediscover Your World and Kanto Updates Now Live, Here are the Details

Trainers, one of the four announced updates is behind us, and we want it to stay that way. Anyway, two new updates are coming to Pokémon GO on April 22, 2024: Rediscover Your World and Rediscover Kanto, so let’s what they offer this time.

Niantic and Pokémon GO have officially confirmed that the game will undergo new updates. This is known in the world of Pokémon GO as the Rediscover Pokémon GO period, in which both parties are trying to make changes and improve the gaming experience.

Now, the first update, Rediscover Yourself is behind us, and we still can’t come to terms with the fact that they crippled Avatars, removed Gender options, and the Pokémon GO community had to react to this. But who listens to us?

April 22, 2024, is Earth Day, so Niantic and Pokémon GO have decided to celebrate it with two new updates, Rediscover Your World and Rediscover Kanto. We have a list of all the changes, so let’s find out more below.

Pokémon GO’s updated visuals bring a fresh look, enhancing your real-world environment with accuracy and fun.

• Explore a refreshed visual experience in Pokémon GO that dynamically adapts to your real-world surroundings and seasonal changes
• Notice visual enhancements such as buildings, hills, mountains, and improved environmental elements
• Observe the visual updates across various in-game aspects, including the map, Pokémon encounter screen, and Trainer battle screen
• Witness visual transformations based on the biome you’re in while playing
• Discover different biomes like forests, beaches, mountains, and cities, and collaborate with fellow Trainers to uncover more biomes in the Pokémon GO world

Biomes!

• Biomes impact both appearance and the Pokémon that spawn in those environments
• Pokémon from the Kanto region are found in specific biomes, although they can appear outside of these during certain seasons or events
• Keep an eye on biomes to discover additional Pokémon spawns

NOTE: They also announced a new Kanto event. This is the longest event we’ve seen in the game, so feel free to learn more here.

• Beach biome: Squirtle, Psyduck, Seel, Magikarp, Wiglett, and more
• Mountain biome: Sandshrew, Clefairy, Zubat, Diglett, and more
• City biome: Caterpie, Pidgey, Machop, Gastly, and more
