The two opening missions of Hitman, called “ ICA Facility”, will be available for download for free, starting today. Every episode of the first season of the game will be on sale too.
IO Interactive proposes that this price drop is the “first hello as an independent studio,” as said by CEO Hakan Abrak. The former parent company of IO’s, Square Enix, cut off ties the studio last months. IO also announced last week, that the studio will retain the Hitman IP and release new games on their own.
“ICA Facility” is kind of like a prologue and tutorial to the game’s main episodes. Agent 47 is controlled by the player, as he goes through the assassinations. This was previously available only in the Hitman’s first episode, “Paris”.
Every episode of Hitman is on sale this week, discounted up to 60 percent. The sale is already live on Xbox Marketplace, where the full game is 24 dollars. Each episode can be purchased on its own for 4 dollars. The sale will come to PS Store and Steam later today.
