IO Interactive Hints at First and Third-Person Gameplay in Project 007

IO Interactive, the game development studio responsible for the highly anticipated Project 007, has hinted at a potential mix of first- and third-person perspectives in the upcoming James Bond game. The studio recently posted a job advertisement on its website seeking a senior combat designer with experience in crafting combat scenarios for both first- and third-person action-adventure games.

The job listing for the upcoming James Bond game has left fans and industry watchers speculating about the game’s perspective. The listing doesn’t specify how much third-person or first-person gameplay will be used. Given the history of James Bond games, many believe that the game will mainly feature third-person gameplay. However, IO Interactive has a track record of blending both perspectives, as seen in titles like Hitman 3 VR and the first-person mode in Hitman: Blood Money. Therefore, it is possible that the game will incorporate both third-person and first-person perspectives.

Previous job advertisements revealed some interesting aspects of Project 007. These ads suggest that the game will have a narrative-driven experience with a lot of dialogue and a sandbox-style storytelling approach similar to the Hitman series. Furthermore, IO Interactive has confirmed that the game will serve as an origin story for the famous spy and may even initiate a trilogy.

Although some details have been revealed, fans will need to exercise patience. IO Interactive has confirmed that Project 007 is not expected to be released before April 2025. This delay is expected to build anticipation for the game, which is promising to offer a multifaceted and immersive experience in the James Bond universe.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
