Shortly after the PS5 pre-orders were opened and available to the public, multiple retailers have had the opportunity to escort the surprise with their involvement. Following the surprising outcome, which mostly happened on September 16, Sony had no room but to come out with a statement that accommodates all those who haven’t had the opportunity to pre-order the next-gen console.
Some of the bigger retailers have admitted to PS5 shortage just a couple of minutes after the pre-order kicked-off. It appears that the pre-order number had reached the stock limit very soon. Some of the bigger stores, such as Amazon, Gamestop and Walmart, have already been a part of the deficit itself, whilst the pre-order on the official PS5 website was limited to a particular audience.

This shortage will be satisfied in the coming months when more next-gen PS5 consoles will meet a new production limit and become available to pre-order. So far, the number of sales is booming, and it’s likely to continue with the same fashion once it goes live again.
