Pokemon to Release new App in Q4 2020

GB eye is a manufacturer and distributor of licensed gifts, posters, drinkware, and many more. Since the pandemic started, the company has had high sales of the official “merchandise” of the games, mainly because many people turned to games during the long lockdown.

This company is a representative of many known games, including Fortnite, Pokemon, PlayStation, Minecraft, Fallout, and Apex Legends. GB eye also partnered up with The Last of Us II, a new game that launched in June 2020.

This upcoming month will be quite busy for us and them. Assassin’s Creed will be released, Cyberpunk, and a rumored new Pokemon app.

There have been many talks that this new Pokemon app will be coming to us in the last quarter of the year, so we will see whether or not that happens. Thanks to this, the interest for the licensed goods is steadily increasing which means that GB eye will have more income.

Ben Woodman, commercial manager at GB eye has said that there has been a rapid growth of merchandise in the last few years. He has also said that 2020’s Q4 gift box will have more gaming items than before and it will be labeled as the perfect gift for the “new generation of gamers.”

The people behind GB eye have announced that they also will be celebrating Pokemon’s 25th anniversary with a range of 25 (get it?) products.

GB eye has enjoyed strong sales of its video games properties across the summer, as the high number of people turning to gaming during lockdown also translated into demand for consumer products. The licensee represents key brands including Fortnite, Pokémon, PlayStation, Minecraft, Fallout, and Apex Legends. It enjoyed good demand across The Last of Us II – which launched in June – while it believes its portfolio promises to be more prominent than ever at retail in 04 thanks to highly-anticipated releases for Assassin’s Creed and Cyberpunk in November, as well as a new Pokémon app.

“Being one of the first to market with related products many years ago, we have witnessed the rapid growth of gaming merchandise first hand,” Ben Woodman, commercial manager at GB eye, told LSB. “As this industry has grown so has the appetite for brands across our range of posters, wall art, drinkware, and gifting. “This year, our unique 04 gift box range will include more gaming skus than ever before, providing the perfect gift for the new generation of gamers.”

Looking to 2021, GB eye will also be supporting the 25th anniversary of Pokémon with a specific range of #25 products.”
