Cyberpunk 2077 to Become one of the Most Expensive Games in History

Cyberpunk 2077 is, without any doubt, the most anticipated game in 2020. Due to many delays and tweaks, the developers have been dealing with, the fans became impatient for its arrival in the gaming world. Luckily, this did not stop the number of pre-orders on Steam, DIMBOSS stated.

The brokerage firm DIMBOSS, established in Poland, stated that their analysis has shown that by the end of 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 will reach around 21 million copies. After a year, the prediction is that the game will be sold in 34 million copies. When compared to the most popular game from Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto V, Cyberpunk 2077 will surpass it in many sectors, meaning that the CD Projekt RED game will become one of the most expensive games in the history of games, exceeding the budget of the latest Grand Theft Auto (which at its time of release needed 265 million dollars in promotion and development combined). To make this clearer, Cyberpunk 2077’s budget will be four to five times bigger than the budget that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt needed.

As reported, CD Projekt RED spent $2.5 million on advertising only. They have higher marketing costs than other popular games.

Hopefully, Cyberpunk 2077 will release on December 10th, 2020. For any further updates on the game, keep on checking our website.
