PS5 Launch-day Sales to be Sold Online-only

Well, it seems that our camping days outside of our local shops have come to an end. There will not be any PS5 units available in-store, in any store.

This announcement comes after the COVID-19 pandemic got more dangerous, so Sony, as a responsible company, decided to not release the console in stores, because that would make people gather together, which puts their health at risk.

As with everything, the ones that decided to pre-order the PS5, the company has said that all they need to do is to confirm the specific details (maybe order number?) with the store when they go there at the designated pick-up date.

Sadly, the folks that did not pre-order the console, you might need to wait for a restock, because the console is sold out everywhere in the world, but do not despair, we will make sure to update you poor souls so you could get back to gaming.
