The Witcher 3 Gets Next-Gen PC Performance Hotfix on GOG

CD Projekt Red announced that a new hotfix update is available on GOG. While the game version will remain the same, this update is here to address a couple of performance issues that have been present after the installation of patch 4.01.

The announcement for this small hotfix has been posted by GOG.com’s official Twitter profile, where it says that it primarily addresses performance issues.

Previously, CD Projekt Red has confirmed that further updates are due, as the developer needs to address other performance issues within the next-gen The Witcher 3.

CD Projekt RED is taking on some ambitious projects to make the next-gen version of The Witcher 3 an even better experience. They’re seeking ways to increase CPU core utilization and DirectX 12 performance. Plus, they’re tackling Ray Tracing glitches like global illumination lighting leaks and RT shadows pop-in issues with plans to restore horizon-based ambient occlusion.

With that said, expect further updates shortly.
