Pokemon Go Looking for Associate Community Manager, Contract up to One Year

Niantic’s Marketing team is on a hunt for a “highly motivated and diligent” Associate Community Manager that will help engage, grow, and manage the Pokemon Go community. Niantic and Pokemon Go revealed the requirements and responsibilities, so feel free to learn more below.

Contract duration is a minimum of six months and a maximum of one year.

Pokemon Go Associate Community Manager Requirements and Responsibilities

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in community management, preferably within the video game, TTRPGs, or hobby games industry
  • Highly detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks independently, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
    Solid understanding of Pokémon GO and overall Pokémon brand knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with community members and stakeholders in a professional manner
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of monitoring and interpreting sentiment metrics to advise decision-making
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, able to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-evolving game environment
  • Previous experience working with influencers and content creators is a plus
  • Live event or convention management experience is a plus
  • May require working outside of standard hours, on weekends and holidays, and travel to support various in-person and/or digital events

Responsibilities

  • Interface and respond to the community content creators inquiries in a timely fashion, ensuring their inquiries, feedback, and concerns are addressed promptly and expertly
  • Track and provide regular reporting on community sentiment, monitoring key metrics and trends
  • Manage daily tasks for community programming, such as scheduling social media posts, moderating forums, and coordinating community events
  • Support and help implement community initiatives, working closely with the team to plan and implement engaging activities to foster community growth and interaction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional marketing teams to support and amplify community-related marketing initiatives
  • Aid in the execution of live events, both online and offline, including coordinating logistics, managing schedules, and ensuring a flawless experience for attendees
  • Monitor and analyze sentiment metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improving community engagement and happiness
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and community management best practices, constantly seeking ways to improve the community experience
