South of Midnight Announced, Promises Day One Game Pass Release

Compulsion Games, the studio acclaimed for their groundbreaking dystopian adventure We Happy Few, is set to surprise fans with their new project, South of Midnight. The forthcoming title was announced recently, much to the delight of fans of the developer’s previous work.

The reveal trailer showcased the game’s unique art style, strikingly resembling stop-motion animation. A distinctly eerie yet captivating bayou setting was unveiled, with a lone character navigating the mysterious terrain.

The preview of South of Midnight gave little away in terms of gameplay or plot. Still, Compulsion Games’ pedigree suggests players can expect an immersive and compelling narrative combined with innovative mechanics. As is their forte, Compulsion Games appears to be pushing boundaries again in the visual department, opting for a distinctive aesthetic that deviates from the norm.

Following the model they set with We Happy Few, South of Midnight is set to arrive on day one on Game Pass. This will be a significant boon for service subscribers, ensuring they will be among the first to delve into the intriguing world Compulsion Games is crafting.

The mystery continues as no official release date for South of Midnight was announced alongside its unveiling. For now, fans and gamers will have to content themselves with the enticing trailer, guessing at the twists and turns ahead in this new adventure.
